Transformers (2007)
For my first review, I'd like to take a look at a little film called Transfomers. I am a huge Transformers fan so I’ll be honest and say I was a little worried when I heard they had started shooting this movie. I must say I don’t think this movie could have been done much better considering its based on a cartoon, and I’m 20 years older. This movie kicks some serious Arse. The movie opens with Optimus Prime story telling about a new addition to the Transformers series. A Giant cube called the Allspark. In the movie the Allspark created Cybertron and the Tranformers, which I thought was a neat little addition to the story. From then on the movie had all of my attention!!! The movie then goes quickly into a Decepticon attacking an American base trying to find the location of the Allspark, which crash landed on Earth long ago. This scene was easily the best sequence of the film!!! I don’t think it could have been shot any better! Of course being a Bay flick it has its usual oiled down hotty running around the screen! Industrial Light and Magic did a great job with the sound and special effects, and a great Jablonsky score to top it all off.
I won’t go into any more details other than by the time the film ended I think I was a few inches higher in my seat due to the soil in my pants.For those of you who like Sci-fi and Superhero movies, whether you've heard of Transfomers or not you need to give this one two and a half hours of your time. I don't think you'll be disappointed. And for those of you who sit around and gripe about things like Optimus Prime having lips, or flames decals on his side. I think you need to put down the anime porn and get yourself a real girlfriend, because that’s really lame!!!
